Lucas took a very positive step today as he started taking the bottle. He only tried for about 10 minutes but just the fact he caught on so quickly was amazing to me. I keep thinking they are still weeks ahead for their due date so to be taking a bottle when less then a week ago you were still learning to breath is learning at an unbelievable rate! The side effect of his bottle time was that he was completely wiped out. The nurse was explaining to me that they have to use a tremendous amount of energy to feed. Matthew was introduced to breastfeeding today and although the seemed to understand, he wasn’t physically strong enough to feed but it was I good start and I’m proud he tried.
Everyone’s weight went up which is another great sign! The Bili-lights were removed last night and they are monitoring the babies to make sure the Jaundice does not return. We got a lot of really great quality time with all the babies today including a little nap.

I am so grateful to the family and friends who took time to visit us, the incredible nursing staff who keep us and our beautiful babies on schedule, and of course I’m so thankful to God for blessing us with these precious gifts and watching over them.
